Terms of Use

These terms of use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the SkillTree mobile application (the "App"), published by Erwan CATEL. By creating an account or using the App, you accept these Terms.

1. Purpose of the App

SkillTree is a fitness coaching app that uses artificial intelligence to generate training and nutrition programs, and provides progress tracking as well as a gamification system (XP, levels, skill tree).

2. Disclaimer — informational use, not medical advice

The content provided by the App (training programs, nutrition advice, calories, etc.) is offered for purely informational and educational purposes and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or prescription. Consult a healthcare professional before starting any training or nutrition program, especially in case of a health condition, injury, pregnancy or any particular situation. You use the App under your sole responsibility.

3. User account

• Creating an account requires a valid email address or a Google sign-in.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activities carried out through your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information, in particular for the generation of your programs.
• The App is not intended for people under 15.

4. In-app purchases and advertising

The App may display advertising provided by Google AdMob, and may offer in-app purchases or paid features. Any payments are processed by the Google Play Store under its own terms. The processing of advertising data and the collection of consent are described in the privacy policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App for unlawful purposes or in breach of these Terms;
• attempt to access systems, accounts or data of others without authorization;
• disrupt the operation of the App or circumvent its security measures;
• reproduce, extract or exploit the App's content without authorization.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its brand, content and interface are protected by intellectual property law. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license for private use. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

7. Liability

The App is provided "as is". The publisher does not guarantee that it is error-free, nor that AI-generated recommendations are suitable for your particular situation. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the App, nor for the consequences of following the proposed programs. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Availability

The publisher strives to keep the App available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may change, be suspended or discontinued, in particular for maintenance.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time using the "Delete account" feature. We may suspend or terminate your access in the event of a breach of these Terms. The effects of account deletion on your data are described in the privacy policy.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection rules.

11. Changes

These Terms may be amended. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of your use. The last update date appears at the top of this page.
